LIST OF PASTORS WITH PRIVATE JETS IN NIGERIA

List of Pastors With Private Jets in Nigeria

Private jet is just one of the numerous luxury the richly rich acquire either for comfort, luxury or show of affluence. It is no news that the politicians and businessmen are the richest set of people in the country and as such, gather to themselves all things their wealth can buy – which private jet is one of them. What is however surprising is seeing “men of God” on the List of Pastors With Private Jets in Nigeria join the bandwagon of these politicians and businessmen to own private jets when their followers wallow in poverty.

As opposed to many of their predecessors, the pastors we have these days seem to have jettisoned the general mindset that those called to the vineyard should abandon all cravings for the so-called things of this world, and in fact, the wealth of a pastor is now seen as a sign of God’s goodness in his or her life.

Anyway …. Who am I to judge. Just check out the list of Nigerian Pastors owning a private jet.

  • Bishop David Oyedepo

This powerful man is the leader as well as the founder of the Protestant church known as Living Faith Church World Wide, known by many as Winner’s Chapel. In 2011, the prestigious Forbes magazine named him as the richest pastor in Nigeria, and that is no small feat considering the caliber of people that can be considered his competition. Bishop David Oyedepo is the leading pastor at the church reputed to have the biggest auditorium in the world with a seating capacity of over 50,000, known as Faith Tabernacle. Aside from having a private hangar located in the Murtala Mohammed International airport in Lagos, he also has a fleet of 4 private jets of various models including, Gulfstream 1, Gulfstream V, Gulfstream 4 and last but not least, a Challenger 604 model.

He is a preacher and Christian author. • PASTOR ENOCH ADEJARE ADEBOYE  PRIVATE JET

This former mathematics professor popularly referred to as Daddy G.O by members of his congregation as well as others not part of his allocated flock. Unlike the previous pastors on this list, he is not the founder of the church he is associated with. He was the general overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) which he joined in the year 1973, and only recently resigned from the position so he could focus on leading the church worldwide. Newsweek named Pastor E. A. Adeboye among the fifty most powerful people in the world as we have it, quite a feat considering just how many powerful men and women we have in the world. Pastor E. A. Adeboye is the owner of a Gulfstream 4 model private aircraft.

  • PASTOR TEMITOPE BALOGUN JOSHUA ON List of Pastors With Private Jets in Nigeria

Popularly referred to as Prophet T. B. Joshua. He is a preacher, a televangelist, and the Founder/leader of Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN). His church SCOAN owns Emmanuel TV – The Television channel T. B. Joshua uses to reach out to his numerous audience scattered within the country. His church SCOAN could be said to be a religion tourists attractions as it had been reported that 6 out of every 10 foreigners coming to Nigeria are heading to SCOAN. He is not much of a traveler like the remaining Pastors on the list. Never the less, Pastor Temitope Balogun Joshua owns a Gulfstream G550 aircraft.

  • OTHER PASTORS WITH AIRCRAFT TYPE UNKNOWN

Aside from the above Pastors with private jets in Nigeria, some other Pastors own private jets but for reasons, the model of the private jet is unknown to the public these includes; Bishop Mike Okonkwo of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission(TREM) and Pastor Chris Oyakilome of Christ Embassy.

PASTORS IN NIGERIA WHO OWN AIRCRAFTS OF UNKNOWN MODELS

The men of God listed above are not the only ones in Nigeria who own private jets in the country, either bought themselves or gifted to them by grateful members of their congregation or general well-wishers, but for some reason, we do not yet know the models of these aircraft. The pastors here include:

1.) Pastor Chris Oyakhilome: Pastor Chris as he is popularly called, is the founding president of Believers’ World Incorporated popularly known to many as Christ Embassy, with its headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria. Pastor Chris runs a prayer network online, an innovation which utilizes the power of social media to help in transmitting the church’s message to Christians in various countries in the world. He owns a private jet of an unknown model.

2.) Bishop Mike Okonkwo: He is a prominent figure in the Christian community and is also the founder of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM). He also owns a private jet, but as of yet, the model is still unknown.

So, there you have it. The pastors listed above all have a mission statement which they preach to their congregation as well as to any others who would like to listen. The Christian world is ever expanding and every other day, a new church fully equipped with a new pastor opens up, whether lured by the promises of riches or brought into the fold because of a call from God. Not all churches succeed like the ones above and not all men of God who preach the word end up with private jet money, however, going strictly by the teachings, is that really the point?

What do you think though? Are churches being run these days more as businesses rather than as beacons of truth and direction in an otherwise confusing world?

In my opinion, to a large extent, the answer to that is largely based on perspective.
