MOUAU resumption date – Michael Okpara University Of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU) has set a new resumption date for the commencement of the 2018/2019 academic session for newly admitted students.

 The Authorities of the Michael Okpara University Of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU) have announced a new resumption date for the commencement of first semester, 2018/2019 academic session for fresh students.

The resumption of fresh students that was earlier scheduled for 21st October, 2018, has been postponed to 3rd November, 2018.

Furthermore, lectures will commence on Monday 5th, November 2018.

The management regrets all inconveniences the postponement might have caused.

MOUAU pre-degree form — The application forms for admission into the one year Pre-degree Programme of the Michael Okpara University Of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU), Continuing Education Centre (CEC), for the 2019/2020 academic session are now on sale.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into a non-residential, one year Pre-degree Programme of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike.

MOUAU Pre-Degree Admission Requirements.

Interested candidates should possess the following qualifications:

A. Pre-Science Courses: A minimum of five (5) O’level credit passes at not more than two sittings in WASC, SSCE, NECO, NABTEB in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Agricultural Science/ Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

B. Pre-Business Courses: A minimum of five (5) O’level credit passes at not more than two sittings in WASC, SSCE, NECO, NABTEB in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Agricultural Science/ Biology, Economics and any of Government, Geography, History, Literature in English for option II.

How to Apply for MOUAU Pre-Degree Admission Form.

Application forms can be obtained from the Pre-Degree Office, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture on payment of non-refundable fee of five thousand naira (N5, 000.00) through remita into TSA account after generating RRR. Candidates should bring their evidence of payment to the CEC for issuance of receipt and collection of Application form.

At the end of the Programme, candidates may be admitted to 100level in various Degree Programmes of the University provided they satisfy the JAMB admission requirements and passed the Pre-Degree examinations.

Entry closes six weeks from the date of this publication.

DIRECT ENTRY ADMISSION

Direct entry admission is based on a combination of O’Level results in addition to possession of at least two A-Level passes or NCE,OND OR HND in the following areas of study; Agricultural Sciences, Sciences, Science Education, Geography, Forestry, Fisheries, Building Technology, Environmental Health, Surveying, Architecture, Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Urban and Regional Planning, etc.

DURATION OF PROGRAMMES

A. Duration of programmes in 1, 2, & 3 above.

  • A minimum of six (6) years for candidates with:
    • Ordinary Level Certificate
    • OND/ND at Lower Credit level
    • NCE at Merit/Credit levels
  • A minimum of five (5) years for candidates with:
    • OND/ND at Upper Credit level
    • NCE at Distinction level
    • HND at Lower Credit Level
  • A minimum of four (4) years for candidates with:
    • HND at Upper Credit level.

B. Duration of programmes in items 2-11 above.

  • A minimum of five (5) years for candidates with O’Level qualifications
  • A minimum of four (4) years for candidates with OND at Upper Credit Level and HND, at Lower Credit in relevant areas, obtained from recognized institutions.
  • A minimum of three (3) years for candidates with HND at Upper Credit Level, and B.Sc. in related areas.

Applications forms can be obtained from room 6 (B.Sc. Unit CEC) of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, on payment of non-refundable fee of Five Thousand Naira (N 5,000) through remitter into the TSA account . Candidates should bring their evidence of payment to the CEC for issuance of receipt and collection of application forms.

MOUAU admission list is out – The management of the Michael Okpara University Of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU) has released the admission list for the 2019/2020 academic session.

The Michael Okpara University Of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU) admission list containing the names of candidates offered provisional admission into the institution’s various degree programmes for the 2019/2020 academic session is out.

Candidates that participated in the Michael Okpara University Of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU) 2019/2020 post UTME screening exercise can now check their admission status online.

How to Check MOUAU Admission List.

  1. Go to MOUAU admission status checking portal at https://mouauportal.edu.ng/putme/acceptance-fees.php.
  2. Enter your Jamb Registration Number in the required column.
  3. Finally, click the Search button Icon to access your MOUAU admission status.

RECOMMENDED: MOUAU Acceptance Fee Payment and Registration Procedure 2019/2020.

Successfully admitted candidates are to note the following:

  • Candidates who can successfully view their admission status on the University’s Portal are candidates who have been granted admissions and have uploaded their O’level results to the JAMB Website.
  • Candidates who have been approved and admitted but have not accepted their admissions on JAMB CAPS should do so urgently and print their JAMB admission letters in order not to jeopardize their admissions. Recommended: How to Reject/Accept Your Admission on JAMB CAPS.
  • That admitted Candidates should endeavour to print their MOUAU Admission letters first before accepting the admissions on the University (MOUAU) Portal.
  • Candidates must pay the stipulated acceptance fee, and present official receipt to the College Officer in their Colleges for further information on screening and registration.
  • Candidates qualifications must satisfy the University’s Minimum Admission Requirements.
  • Candidates must come for screening with the following:-
    • Original copies of their education qualifications (Statement of Results/Certificates). 
    • Awaiting Results will not be accepted.
    • Six Passport size photographs.
    • Birth Certificate/Age Declaration.
    • A letter of attestation to University from your parents/guardian vouching for your good behaviour.
    •  Certificate of Local Government of Origin.
  • The University reserves the right to withdraw your admission if it is discovered that you have been involved in any form of examination/admission irregularity even after registration.

You can also access your MOUAU admission status from JAMB admission status checking portal, follow the procedure outlined below:

  1. Go jamb.gov.ng/efacility/.
  2. Login to your Jamb profile with your username and password.
  3. Scroll down then locate and click the ‘Check Admission Status‘ tab.
  4. Select your Exam year and Enter your registration number in the required columns.
  5. Finally, click on ‘Check Admission Status‘ to access your MOUAU admission status.
