UNILAG reschedules Post-UTME screening exercise for 2020/2021 session

This is to inform the public and prospective students of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) that the  Post-UTME exercise earlier slated for Wednesday, November 18 to Thursday, December 3, 2020, has been rescheduled to hold from Monday, November 30 to Saturday, December 12, 2020.

The Exercise was rescheduled following the rescheduling of the 2020 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) of the National Examination Council (NECO), as well as in compliance with the directive from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) that all institutions should conduct their Post-UTME screening exercise after the completion of the 2020 NECO examination.

UNILAG notice to 2020 Post-UTME candidates

This is to inform prospective candidates of the forthcoming 2020/2021 Post-UTME Screening, that following the rescheduling of the exams, they are to re-print their Examination Passes from Wednesday, November 18, 2020.

In addition, applicants who registered for Post-UTME with WAEC awaiting results are required to upload their O&-8217;level grades.

UNILAG to get meteorology and climate sciences department

On Monday, 14th December 2020, the Vice-Chancellor, University of Lagos, Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe FAS, received a team from the National Universities Commission (NUC), at the Vice-Chancellor’s Office.

The delegation led by Professor Debo Adeyewa, a former Vice-Chancellor of Redeemer’s University remarked that they were in the University to assess and verify facilities and manpower of the University on its proposed Department of Meteorology and Climate Sciences in the Faculty of Social Sciences.

In his response, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, said that the University does not view accreditation as a condemnation but rather a quality assurance process. He further stated that the exercise will determine if what the University has done meets or exceeds minimum quality standards in accordance with the recognized operational standard of the NUC. He restated his determination to consolidate on the gains the university has made in terms of improved global rankings and international recognition for student entrepreneurship.  

The NUC Team is expected to pay an exit visit to the Vice-Chancellor at the conclusion of their assignment.

Also present were Dr. Stella Anasi, representing the University Librarian, Director, Academic Planning Unit; Prof. Lucien .O. Chukwu, Director Quality Assurance & SERVICOM; Prof Grace Otinwa and the Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof. Olufunlayo Bammeke, amongst others.    

UNILAG announces date for next batch of School of Foundation studies entrance exam, 2020/2021

This is to inform prospective students of the school of foundation studies, University of Lagos (UNILAG) that the date for the next batch of the entrance examination has been announced.

According to the management, the entrance exam for the next batch of the School of Foundation Studies will come up on Thursday, 7th January 2021.

UNILAG extends sales of foundation admission form for 2020/2021 session

The School of Foundation Studies (SFS) University of Lagos (UNILAG), wishes to inform interested and suitably qualified candidates that the sale of application forms for admission into the 2020/2021 academic session of the School has been extended from the initial deadline of Monday, November 16, 2020, till further notice.

Candidates are advised to carefully read the information on the subject combination relevant to their course of study before completing the application forms online. The Second batch of entrance examination date will be communicated to all applicants in due time.
