SAU donates N300,000 to 20 students in Ogwa Community for WAEC registration

Samuel Adegboyega University Ogwa, Edo State has once again given a three hundred thousand naira (N300, 000) scholarship to twenty indigent students in the Community Secondary School to enroll in the forthcoming Senior Secondary School Examination. Each of the 20 students selected from the four quarters in the community were given fifteen thousand naira each.  

Presenting the scholarship in the Onogie&-8217;s Palace in Ogwa, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Babatude Idowu, said that the scholarship was part of the University’s continuous effort to identify with the host community.

Responding, the Onogie of Ogwa, HRN V. Ehizogie II, thanked the University for the gesture. He added that the University remains a source of joy to the community. 

It will be recalled that the University has been giving such scholarships to students in the community for over four years.

Samuel Adegboyega University Resumption Date

The Vice-Chancellor has approved the resumption of the University for regular activities, from Monday, October 26, 2020, following the Covid-19 lockdown.

The Calendar for the completion of the 2019/2020 Academic Session, was also approved, on behalf of Senate.

The management of Samuel Adegboyega University (SAU) has announced admission screening for 2017/2018 academic session.

Candidates who chose SAU and scored 180 and above in 2017 UTME can apply.

Candidates who did not choose SAU but scored 180 in their JAMB registration can also apply.

For admission into 100 level, candidates must possess credit level passes in five subjects at the SSCE/GCE O&-8217;Level/NECO/NABTEB or equivalent, obtained in not more than two sittings. The subjects passed must include English Language and Mathematics for the Sciences & Management Sciences programmes and English Language for the Humanities Programmes. Candidates awaiting SSCE/GCE O&-8217;Level/NECO/NABTEB results may also apply provided the result would be available at the time of Matriculation.

Direct Entry into 200-Level

Candidates for admission into 200-level must have, in addition to requirement for admission into 100-level, passed G.C.E(A/L) in 2 relevant subjects or passed NCE, OND, HND or equivalent at not less than lower credit level.

The first Admission Screening Exercise for 2017/2018 academic year has been slated for Saturday, 1st July, 2017 at 10.00am. The Screening will be conducted in the following centers:
