2.  Parents/Guardians will not be allowed in to the Academy.

3.  Candidates who fail to report a day after reporting dates for their respective batch will not be allowed to attend the interview.

4.  Candidates will first undergo screening exercises which involve credentials screening, medical tests and physical features among others.

5. Candidates must bring along the originals and photocopies of the following documents:

a. Academic certificates/statements of result and testimonials for primary and secondary schools (Junior and Senior).

b. Birth Certificate (preferable) or Declaration of Age.

c. Proof of Local Government of origin duly signed by the Chairman of the Local Government or Attestation obtained from Police Officers from the same State of the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) and above.

In this case, the officer must indicate his formation/unit, appointment, contact address, phone numbers and e-mail address. The officer must also affix his/her formation/unit stamp and sign

d. Original UTME (JAMB) result slip 2020 and evidence of choosing POLAC as first choice.                                                                        

e. Police Academy examination forms downloaded from the Internet.

f. Candidates are to bring along second copy of their postcard signed by the Supervisor or the Assistant Supervisor of the Centre where they sat for the selection examination.  g. Proof of choosing Police Academy as First Choice

6.  Candidates who fail to bring along with them the documents listed above will be disqualified.

*Any alteration on the documents will attract out right disqualification.

7.  Candidates are to also bring the following items:

a. Two blue shorts and Two white T Shirts.

b. A pair of white canvass shoes and 2 pairs of white socks.

c. Facemask

d .Toiletries.

e. Sufficient money for Feeding, transport to and from Wudil.

F .Scratch Cards for WAEC and/or NECO or NABTEB results for online verification of results.

8.  All and sundry are warned that no correspondence of any form will be entertained in respect of the candidates or the selection process.

9.  While assuring the candidates, their parents/guardians of transparent screening, the Commandant advised them to be wary of scammers and not to offer any kind of financial incentive or otherwise to anybody in desperation of securing admission for their wards.

Nigeria Police Academy Issues Notice of Change in Screening Days and Dates

The Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State has released a press statement to effect corrections made on the screening days and dates for batch one students who applied for the 8th Regular Course of the academy. It read thus;

This is to inform all candidates who passed the selection examination into the 8th regular course of the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano that the days/dates for BATCH ONE screening is Saturday, 24th to Friday, 30th October 2020 and not Saturday, 21st Friday to Friday, 30th October 2020 as stated in the earlier press release.

Nigeria Police Academy Notice On Resumption For 2019/2020 Session

This is to inform all admitted candidates into 7th Regular Course and the Returning Cadets of the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil that the resumption date has been postponed from 5th to 19th January, 2020. Any newly admitted candidate that fail to resume a week after 19th January 2020 risk forfeiting his/her admission.

This is to inform all candidates who have been offered admission into the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil Kano, to carefully read the following instructions for the Academy to process their admission on JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) and also to enable candidates print their admission letter.

Candidates are advised to upload their O’Level result on or before, Tuesday, 31 December, 2019.

a)    Candidates are to visit their profile on JAMB&-8217;s CAPS platform regularly for any necessary actions and updates as the Admission process is an interactive one that requires input from the candidates equally.

b)    Candidates who are yet to upload their O&-8217;Level results on JAMB&-8217;s CAPS Platform are requested to do that as soon as possible.

c)     Candidates who did not choose POLAC as their Institution of 1st Choice are to change POLAC to their Institution of 1st Choice through JAMB.

d)    Candidates who were offered admission by POLAC into a Programme/Course other than the one they registered in JAMB  are to change their Programme/Course to that offered to them by POLAC through JAMB.

e)     Candidates who were offered admission by POLAC into a Programme/Course same as the one they registered in JAMB and got a message on CAPS seeking their permission for a Change of Programme/Course by POLAC are to allow/accept the change

f)      Candidates who have received a notification of an Offer of Admission by another institution on CAPS but are yet to accept/reject the offer are to reject the offer to enable them to be available for POLAC&-8217;s offer.

g)    Candidates who have already accepted Admission from another institution are to visit from an Accredited CBT Centre to fill the Change of Admission Letter form, download and print an Indemnity Form which will be submitted in Hard Copy to the Academy for onward processing with JAMB.

However, candidates are to note that some of these processes attract some service charges payable to JAMB. Similarly Candidates are warned not to pay money into any private individuals account while attempting to do any of the above

Nigeria Police Academy 8th Regular Course Admission Announced (Updated)

Latest Update: This is to inform Candidates who applied for the 8th Regular Course intake that the Selection Examination is slated for Thursday 17th September, 2020. In addition, the Selection Examination would be Computer Based Test (CBT) as already been indicated in our advert for the sales of online application forms. Meanwhile, registration is closed. Disregard any contrary information.

This is to inform the general public that the sale of online application forms for admission into the 8th Regular Course of degree programmes of the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, will commence on Monday 13th April, 2020 and ends on Sunday 5th July, 2020.  Admission into the Academy is opened to both male and female Nigerians of good character.

2.  Interested Applicants are advised to go to the Nigeria Police Academy’s Website: in order to obtain or generate Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) Code.  The RRR code obtained can be used to make payment of N3,500.00 through any commercial Bank Branch in Nigeria. Applicants must, in addition, apply through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board [JAMB] as well as sit for the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).  Candidates must select the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil as first choice in the JAMB form.  However, only candidates who obtained the minimum UTME scores of 180 which is the Academy’s Cut-off mark in JAMB and purchased the Academy online Application Form will be eligible to sit for the Nigeria Police Academy Selection Examination.


3. Applications are to be submitted online. On submission of the applications, candidates are required to download Acknowledgement slip. Only candidates who meet thecut-off mark will be enabled to download and print their examination cards.


4. Courses leading to Bachelor’s degrees in the following disciplines are available in the Academy:



History & International Studies




Biological Sciences


Computer Science

Forensic Science






Political Science




5. The following are the admission requirements:

a. Candidates seeking admission into the Academy must be Nigerian citizens and must be between 17 and 22 years of age, and must have a height of not less than 1.67 Metres (5 Feet 6 Inches) if male, and 1.62 Metres (5 Feet 4 Inches) if female. In addition, male candidates must have an expanded chest size of not less than 86cm (34 Inches for those between 21 and 22 years of age). All candidates must be free from any physical deformity or mental disability.

b. Candidates must have obtained a minimum of Six (6) credits at the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) conducted by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), the National Examinations Council (NECO) or the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) at not more than 2 sittings. All Candidates must also have a credit pass in English Language and Mathematics as well as subjects relevant to the candidate’s chosen course of study in the Academy.

c. Candidates must also obtain satisfactory scores in both the written examination and the interview and must pass physical tests of fitness.



6. The Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil Selection Examination, will be Pencil and Paper Based (PPB) and probably Computer Based Test (CBT) as the case may be.  The examination shall comprise of a General Paper (Section A) which is compulsory for all candidates.  It will cover areas such as general knowledge and current affairs, English Language and Mathematics.  Other sections are to be selected according to candidate’s Faculty of choice.  It will be conducted on Saturday the 8th August, 2020. Only candidates who meet the Academy’s cut-off mark of 180 in UTME and above will be eligible to sit for the Nigeria Police Academy Selection Examination at the 21 designated Centres. The list of Centres is in the Academy Website.  Eligible candidates are to bring along to the examination venue their Acknowledgement Form, Examination Card, current JAMB Result Slip and two Postcard size photographs (3.5&-215;5 Inches) which should show only from the chest upwards.  At the back of each of the two Postcard size photographs, the candidates must write their name, State of origin, Examination Centre and signature.

7. Only candidates who are successful in the Selection Examination will be invited for the Nigeria Police Academy Selection Board screening and interview. The list of successful candidates will be published on our website.


8. Candidates admitted into the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil degree course will undergo a combined Academic and Police training for a minimum period of Five (5) Years leading to Bachelor’s degrees and commission into the Nigeria Police Force as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).

Nigerian Police Academy (NPA) Printing of Exam card for the 8th regular Cadet course Selection examination has commenced. All the candidates that applied for admission into the Nigeria Police Academy (NPA) 8th Regular Course can proceed to print their examination slips.

The Nigeria Police Academy entrance examination has been scheduled to hold on Thursday 17th September, 2020.

Steps on How to Print NPA (POLAC) Examination Slip Online for 2020/2021 Session

  1. Kindly log on to POLAC exam card printing portal via

  3. Click on Get Exam Card to retrieve your card.
  4. Exam card is available only to candidates that satisfied the selection exam criterion. 

Prior to the examination there would be Mock examination on Monday 14th September, 2020 at FCT, Abuja and Lagos Centres. Interested Candidates who wish to register should Click  to register their Examination Number between Sunday 30th August and Thursday  7th September, 2020.
