NDA issues disclaimer notice

The attention of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has again been drawn to prevalent fake social media accounts, particularly on Facebook, which fraudulently claims to be the official accounts of the Commandant, Maj Gen Jamil Sarham, and also spuriously claim they could assist prospective applicants to attain admission into NDA for a fee.

We wish to state clearly that these accounts are fake and the works of fraudsters. The NDA has no part in the establishment or operations of these fraudulent social media accounts. Invariably, we wish to warn the general public to be wary of these accounts and that anyone conducting any business with them does so at their own peril.

For the purpose of clarity, the Commandant, Maj Gen Jamil Sarham, does not have any official social media handle for conducting official NDA matters. All NDA activities are transmitted via our official website: www.nda.edu.ng and on our Facebook and Twitter handles @DefenceAcademyNG and @HQ_NDA respectively. The general public is hereby notified and forwarned about these fake social media accounts.

NDA PGD admission in Nuclear Security, Safety and Safeguards

The Postgraduate School, Nigerian Defence Academy, (NDA), Kaduna Is now accepting application into a One Year professional Enhancement Postgraduate Diploma in Nuclear Safety and safeguard (PGDNSS) of the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, NDA, Kaduna.

The PGDNSS programme is designed as a 1 Year professional development, proficiency Year academic qualification programme for early and mid-level career professionals including front-line officers with roles and responsibilities in different aspects of the peaceful use of nuclear and radiological materials, cutting across academic, research, medical, security, oil and gas, manufacturing.

NDA Postgraduate admission under directorate of linkage and collaboration, 2020/2021 session

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into Doctoral masters and Postgraduate programme in the postgraduate school under the coordination of the Directorate of Linkages and Collaboration (DLC), Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna for the 2020/2021 academic session. The sale of application forms shall start from 30th November 2020 and close on 28th February 2021.

PROGRAMMES

NDA Postgraduate admission under directorate of linkage and collaboration, 2020/2021 session

a) Mphil/PhD Defence and security studies(DSS)

b) Mphil/PhD Leadership and strategic studies (LSS)

c) Mphil/PhD management science

d) Master in energy security management (MESM)

e) Master in civil security (MSC)

f) Master in Disaster and risk management (MDRM)

g) Postgraduate Diploma in entrepreneurship management

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

1) The requirements of the various programmes are as follows;

 a. Doctoral degree: Candidates for Doctoral degree must possess a minimum of second class honour (Lower Division) at bachelor&-8217;s degree in relevant field of study from a recognized institution. In addition, the candidate must have scored an average of not less than 60% of CGPA of 3.5 on a scale of 5 at masters level. The candidate may be required to undergo Mphil programme as a prerequisite for the PhD programme where the postgraduate schools deems it necessary.

b. Masters degree: Candidates with bachelor&-8217;s degree or equivalent with a minimum of second class honours at Higher National Diploma and a postgraduate diploma with a minimum of lower credit in a related discipline from any recognize university or institution.

c. PGD programmes: Candidates applying for the postgraduate diploma programme must possess a minimum of thirds class Bachelor degree from the National Defence Academy or any other recognized university or Higher National Diploma at a minimum of lower credit from a recognized institution.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Please note that the Doctoral degree programme is targeted as matured candidates with considerable years of experience at strategic level management in public sector who are expected to bring such experience to bear in the research context.

DURATION OF PROGRAMMES 

3. The duration of the programme is as follows:

  a. A student of PhD degree shall pursue the program for 36months

  b. A student of Mphil degree shall pursue the program for 12months

  c. A student with masters degree shall pursue the programme for 18months

 d. A student for postgraduate diploma shall pursue the programme for 12months

NDA List of successful and reserve candidates for 72nd regular admission

The Armed Forces Selection Board (AFSB) Interview for 72 Regular Course of Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) took place from 12 September – 24 October, 2020. The List of Successful Candidates whose names appear below and could also be obtained at the NDA Official Website www.nda.edu.ng were successful at the AFSB Interview.

The candidates have been offered admission into NDA for the 72RC. The successful candidates are to report to NDA Ribadu Campus (old site), Kaduna on Friday 20 November 2020.

NDA List of successful and reserve candidates for 72nd regular admission

Any candidate who fails to report on Monday, 23 November 2020 will forfeit his or her place to a candidate in the reserve list. Selected candidates will be received on arrival at the reception Centre located at the Centre of Excellence Building, NDA Ribadu Campus.

2. Candidates on the reserve list are NOT to report to the Academy until they are invited.
3. Selected candidates MUST come along with the ORIGINAL copies of their credentials which include First School Leaving Certificate, Primary School Testimonial, School
Certificate Results NECO/WAEC, Senior Secondary School Testimonials, Birth Certificate/Declaration of Age and Letter of State of Origin. Any candidate who fails to present originals of
the stated documents will not be accepted into the Academy. In addition, successful candidates are to come along with the following items:
a. Two pairs of black and white trousers. k. Three pairs of blue shorts and white round neck vests.
b. One lounge suite (dark colour). l. Two white shirts (long sleeves).
c. Two belts (preferably black). m. Four pairs of white socks.
d. One pair of black cover shoes. n. One black rubber-strapped digital quartz wristwatch.
e. Two pairs of white canvas shoes. o. Black polish, brushes, shaving kit and toiletries.
f. Two pairs of white shorts. p. Two white bed sheets and pillow cases for 8 spring bed.
g. Pyjamas. q. Black swimming trunk/shirt.
h. Two pairs of brown canvas. r. Personal computer (laptop).
i. One pair of Football boot. s. Pressing iron.
j. Hockey stick.
4. Female candidates should come along with the following items in addition:
a. One pair of black low heel cover shoes.
b. Four lounge skirts (dark colours)
c. Four pairs of black or blue short tight
d Two pairs of trouser suits.
5. Selected candidates are not allowed to receive visitors and will not leave the Academy for the first three months of training. Selected candidates and their parents are to please note the above for strict compliance.

We wish to state clearly that these handles are fake and have no link to the Commandant. The NDA has no part in the establishment or operations of these fraudulent social media accounts. Invariably, we wish to warn the general public to be wary of these accounts.
