College Of Education, Ikere-Ekiti, COEIKERE resumption date for the continuation of the second semester, 2017/2018 academic session.

COEIKERE mid-semester break resumption

Following the suspension of the national strike embarked upon by lecturers of Colleges of Education, the management of the College Of Education Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State, has directed all NCE and degree students of the institution to resume with immediate effect.

A statement from the Office of the Registrar indicated that the 2017/2018 rain semester examinations will commence on Thursday, December 20, 2018.

The statement further advised all students of the institution to pay all prescribed fees and obtain the necessary clearance to guarantee their eligibility for examination.

General Entry Requirements
In accordance with the minimum standard of NCCE, candidates must have at least four credit passes at one or two sittings in the WASSCE/NECO/ NABTEB/SSCE/ GCE O level or merit in teacher grade two certificate or their equivalent. Two of the credit passes must be in the areas of specialization. Candidates that posses a pass in English and Mathematics is qualified to be admitted into the College NCE Programme. However, credit in English or Mathematics may be required for some courses to meet departmental requirements. Detailed information on departmental requirements may be obtained in the admission and Statistics Division.

Method Of Application
Any candidate who scored 100 and above in the 2017 UTME are therefore qualified to apply for admission in the on-going admission process into the NCE Programme of the College.

This is to inform the public that registration for Post UTME screening exercise for NCE and Regular Degree Programme in affliation with University of Nigeria Nsukka of the College of education, Ikere (COEIKERE) for the 2018/2019 academic session have commenced.

Candidates must have chosen the school as theior choice in JAMB and scored the required cut-off marks.

  • Cut-off marks for Degree programmes is 180
  • Cut-off marks for NCE programmes is 100
